ABOUT US

Our WI was founded in 1963 and currently has a membership of about 35. We hold our meetings on the 2nd Monday of every month (except August) at 7.30 pm in the Family Room of St Saviour's Church in the village centre.

Sadly, due to the current COVID pandemic we are not able to hold our meetings but we are holding virtual meetings via Zoom. During the pandemic we are producing fortnightly newsletters to keep all our members connected and also holding a weekly chat session on Zoom.

We are always very pleased to see new faces at our meetings and visitors are very welcome to come along to meet us all. We do ask that after three visits you sign up to join the WI.

Harden is a village about 2 miles West of Bingley in West Yorkshire and although we have many members from the village we also have several from the surrounding area e.g. Cullingworth, Thornton, Wilsden, Bingley, Eldwick .... hence the name Harden and District.

Harden & District WI is part of the West Yorkshire Federation of WIs which has its office in Rodley, Leeds. The Federation organises various other activities such as crafts, lunches, outings, a quiz, holidays, gliding, bowling and many, many more. Harden WI members regularly participate in these.
