We finished off the evening with our usual cup of tea accompanied by some more of our delicious birthday cake left from our party in January. I think it's just about finished now!

What a lovely meeting we had last night. Dale Keaton gave us a potted history of 150 years of ladies' underwear and brought along samples to pass round. I am so glad I wasn't around in the 19th century - the layers and layers of clothing that had to be put on before you actually got to the dress is unbelievable and as for the corsets ... well, how uncomfortable must they have been ... imagine being laced into something to try and get your waist down to 12" and what with all the bones as well it would be nigh impossible to bend over! A really fascinating insight into days gone by!!
